She decided to start her own company in 2000. The company was called Kimberly Bakker Events, and she was excited to manage her own business.

Owning a Business

When Kimberly Bakker started a company, she made multiple mistakes. However, she never got discouraged and continued working hard. She landed significant clients in the San Francisco area. She is one of the leading consultants in the event management industry.

Although she still manages her company, she has added additional responsibilities. She was appointed as a compliance leader for the city of San Francisco. Bakker also works for charities that help children in need. Kimberly believes that successful business owners should spend money supporting the local community.

In 2016, Kimberly Bakker founded “The Project for Girls”. Girls from all walks of life are interviewed to learn about their unique individual needs. Members are encouraged to read about the experiences of other teenage girls as well as write about their own experiences to share.
